What to expect on Sunday:

As you pull up into our driveway, the main entrance will be on your right.  As you enter, the sanctuary will be ahead and to your right.  

We have recently added a welcome center at our main entrance.  This photo (below) was taken looking back toward the entrance.  As you enter, it is just to your right.  Please stop by with any questions you may have or for more information about the church and activities.

Also as you enter through the main entrance, straight ahead through the hallway on your right, you will find a place to hang your coat,

and as you exit either hallway, additional coat racks as well as restrooms are available to your left.

Our services last about an hour.  You will find that most people bring a copy of the Bible.  If you have a Bible, you are welcome to bring it with you.  Most people have their own personal preference, but as a church, we normally read from and use the New King James Version.  If you have any questions about Bible versions or translations, please don't be afraid to ask!

Our "early service" at 8:30 am is a traditional style of worship.  We sing hymns and choruses from our hymnal (and the words are projected on the screen above the choir), accompanied by piano, organ, instrumentalists, and our choir. Generally, for both morning services, the message/sermon is the same.  That is, they are presented by the same person, using the same passage of the Bible.  No two sermons are identical!

Our "late service" at 11:00 am is a contemporary style of worship.  We sing songs, choruses, and hymns, with the words projected onto the front wall, accompanied by our worship team (vocals, guitars, drums, and piano). Generally, for both morning services, the message/sermon is the same.  That is, they are presented by the same person, using the same passage of the Bible.  No two sermons are identical!

Our “evening service” at 6:00 pm is a service for the whole family.  We generally sing everything from hymns to “Sunday school songs”, accompanied by piano and instrumentalists.  We have had instruments from a saw and a marimba to more traditional band/orchestral instruments (like flute, violin, trumpet, clarinet, etc).

For all of our worship services, an offering is taken, but we do not expect our visitors to give anything.  We would like to get to know you better by having you fill out a visitors card (which should be located in one of the pockets of the seats in front of you) and place it in the offering plate.  The "scariest" part of our service, for visitors, is when we turn around to greet and shake hands with those seated nearby.  Don't worry; we don't bite.  As a rule.  (That's a joke!)  

Our Sunday school hour is an informal time of Bible teaching where questions and discussions are encouraged.  We have classes for all ages.  A current list of adult classes and locations are posted on our website under "Sunday school" on the main menu.

Please don't hesitate to ask someone to direct you toward a certain class or age group. 

What should I wear?

We do not have a dress code.  You are welcome as you are.  You will find both casual and dress clothes in all of our services.  We believe that man looks on the outward appearance, but God looks on the heart. (1 Samuel 16:7)

What about my children?

We offer nursery and children’s church for all Sunday morning services.  Our nursery workers care for infants and toddlers up to age 2.  We offer children’s church for “2’s and 3’s” and “age 4 to first grade”.  We take the responsibility of caring for your children very seriously.  Everyone who works with children or teens is required to pass a background check by Pennsylvania State Police and is required to have taken a “risk prevention” course offered periodically by our church leadership.
